Paradise Trio - Inkwell Arts, Leeds
Last year, The Paradise Trio were invited to do a gig at The Inkwell Arts in Leeds, unfortunately Les Chisnall had to drop out at the last minute. Thankfully my good friend and brilliant pianist Jamil Sheriff stepped in and we managed to get have a great time. The Inkwell Arts is great venue for the type of music that the paradise trio plays and we certainly had an appreciative audience. I managed to record most of the gig and have just posted a video on YouTube of a piece called Microscopic. This was inspired by a duo album I heard of Paul Bley and Gary Peacock called partners. Their pieces sound totally improvised and this is something we explore with the trio.
I hope you will take a minute to have a look at the video. You can watch it here.
